Chaplaincy

UnitingCare NSW.ACT provides chaplains in hospitals, correctional centres, mental health services and the police service. They provide pastoral care, counselling and support to patients, prisoners and their families as well as to staff who work within these organisations. They are recognised members of the multi disciplinary support teams available within the organisations they work and provide invaluable support during periods of crisis, organisational change, personal anxiety and trauma, including the church's response to disasters.

This is a ministry on behalf of the whole Uniting Church. Working with other churches and religious faiths, UnitingCare provides resources and support for ministers and lay members of the Uniting Church who are involved in chaplaincy ministries.
